With only 3 more chapters to finish in seminary before becoming a chaplain, I've been giving some serious thought to what I want to do with the next part of my life. After all, I've accomplished almost everything that I'd ever wanted to now and I no longer have to work so... What's next?
Initially, when I started this site I thought it was merely to document my life story and maybe sell a book, but now after some time, I can see there's much more to it.
The other night I was doing some research and discovered that there isn't a lot of information available regarding how people have been abused as children and have gone on to be abused as intimate partners once they're an adult. In fact, there are only 3 studies with any information and only one of them is written in a way that a non-professional could understand. To me, this makes no sense. I can't be the only one out there with this type of experience. It's simply that this segment is being overlooked and it's time it has a voice.
I've decided that I want to be the one to give it this voice. This site is only the beginning of my plan to do so. There's a lot more to come and in the next couple of weeks, I'll be making a BIG announcement as my hopes and dreams are in the final stages of being formulated.
